Here are some important characters that will appear in the game.

Main Character:  you play Mara Reed; an 18-year-old girl struggling with her boring life in 2009.

Mara had a pleasant childhood up until she was 11 years old when things fell apart as she found out that her mother had committed suicide. After such a tragedy she continued to live slowly with her father which brought the financial struggle to their family.

Mr. Joy (Ahmose): Ahmose is a bright and cheerful character whose goal is to bring happiness to Mara.
